Iron's Prophecy Cover reveal

The Iron's Prophecy (The Iron Fey #4.5)

I just stumbled across Julie Kagawa's author blog today, and guess what I found? Iron's Prophecy cover reveal!

Don't know if you have all read the Iron Fey Series by Julie Kagawa, but it is one of my favourite YA series. There are primarily four books in the series: The Iron King, The Iron Daughter, The Iron Queen and The Iron Knight. I'm usually not a faerie story person, but this is really one of the best YA series ever. I really liked the the twist and mix of Shakespeare's A Mid Summer Night's Dream into the tale. Hey! Don't go "Ughhh!" on me, I'm usually not much of a Shakespeare person either, but Kagawa's spinning of the tale hooked me right in. If you haven't read them, you should!

Well, this is a short e-novella after the series (It's #4.5). There is also Winter's Passage (#1.5) and Summer's Crossing (3.5) which are all little e-novellas relating to the main series. It doesn't matter if you don't read these little in-betweens the author has written as they don't affect the actual series, but they are always fun to read.

Julie Kagawa is going to write a spin-off series (book 1 is called The Lost Prince) for the Iron Fey Series, starring Meghan's younger brother Ethan. I'm excited and afraid at the same time: I want more of the Iron Fey world, but at the same time fearing that the spin-off series might ruin the original series... Let's just hope that they don't have too much mixing together and that it will be good!

Anyway, looking forward to when this little treat comes out in September!

  1. Is there a 2.5? Haha. I enjoyed this series too and I moaned and groaned when I picked it up because it was published by Harlequin Teen and I thought, "Do I really want to read this? Romance for teens?" But I forced myself hoping the romance wasn't overly in your face. It wasn't. They were a fun read... though the last book did kinda of annoyed me, but it solved the story happily. Of course, this is coming from a guy so...

    1. Hey I totally agree! Before I started I wasn't expecting much, as you know the usual teen books can be real annoying to read. But I loved this series! Yea, to me, the last book felt like it was a little under the standard. It was all meaningful and had good writing and everything, but just didn't capture my undivided attention as much. Haha. No, there isn't a #2.5, would be cool if it had though. But she is writing a spinoff series. All the e-novellas (#1.5, #3.5 and #4.5) will also be compiled and published together as a paperback.
